The final autopsy finding, released in September 2008, was somewhat disconcerting to the Pole community and his family. His father admits that the source of the methanol poisoning will probably never be determined. The 25 September 2008 New Zealand Herald article which discusses the autopsy finding is no longer available, so I refer you to the Wikipedia page about his death and the subsequent investigations.
