Gary Rosenberger

Gary Rosenberger, age 24, died on November 18, 1977 in a motorcycle accident near Queenstown, New Zealand (Christchurch Press article). He was buried in Boulder, Colorado, where his family still lived at the time. When we had our first Pole Soul reunion in Boulder in 2000, several of his family members returned to join us.

Gary was a very positive and outgoing person at Pole throughout the winter. He was a highly visible member of our group and participated in many diverse activities and events, including live music performances on his 12-string guitar. As a result I have LOTS of pictures of him and he is smiling in every single one!! His death was a tragic loss to all of us.

Earlier that week Gary and I had shared a motel room in Christchurch.
