Gary Rosenberger, age 24, died on November 18, 1977 in a motorcycle accident near Queenstown, New Zealand. He was buried in Boulder, Colorado where his family still lives according to Brad Halter who still lives there and has kept in touch with them.
Gary was a very positive and outgoing person at Pole throughout the winter. He was a highly visible member of our group and participated in many diverse activities and events. As a result I have LOTS of pictures of him and he is smiling in every single one!! His death was a tragic loss to all of us.
Earlier in the week Gary and I had shared a motel room in Christchurch.
