Here's Skip Withrow installing the newly received Cushcraft A3S beam antenna. The tower is only 30' high, but it is elevated above the terrain as you can see.

Skip also unpacked and set up the amateur radio equipment in the GWR ham shack...the gear had been in storage, partly due to the massive GWR renovations. In addition to its recreational function, this radio equipment serves as an emergency backup to the systems in biolab comms. Before Skip left the station, he had close to 2000 contacts in the log.
